Victims of Crime Support Services
Under the Victims of Crime Act 1994, a victim of an offence is a person who has suffered injury, loss or damage as a direct result of the offence. Where the offence resulted in a death, any member of the immediate family of the deceased is considered to be a victim.
Victim Concerns
If a victim becomes aware of a parolee who is acting in a way they shouldn’t whilst on parole, and that parolee is potentially putting themselves or the community at risk, victims can report the matter to the local branch of the Corrective Services Division of the Department of Justice (ie Adult Community Corrections) or notify the Victim Engagement Unit.
If the matter is urgent and requires an immediate response or a person's safety is at risk, then please contact emergency services - Phone 000.
