The Prisoners Review Board (the Board) is unable to release any information or documentation relating to a specific prisoner in accordance with section 119 of the Sentence Administration Act 2003 (WA).
The Board is also an exempt agency under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA). This applies to internal and external stakeholders, including Government agencies.

You can contact the Prisoners Review Board in a number of ways.

Please keep in mind all information provided to the Board is confidential. The Board is unable to release any information relating to a prisoner to any individual or agency unless it is specifically approved by the Chairperson. This includes information such as a parole hearing date or a Board decision.

Stakeholder Engagement

The Board welcomes engagement with stakeholders and the sharing of information specifically in relation to the Board's policies and procedures.

All requests for information or engagement with Board Members or staff of the Board must first be approved by the Chairperson of the Board. Please submit any request for information or consultation in writing to the Board’s email at: prisonersreviewboard@justice.wa.gov.au

Complaints Procedure

Members of the public who wish to make a complaint concerning the Board can forward their concerns in writing or email.

The Board cannot respond to complaints regarding services provided by the Corrective Services division of the Department of Justice, such as programme availability, prisons and Adult Community Corrections processes.
