Victim Engagement Unit
The Victim Engagement Unit is part of the Office of the Commissioner for Victims of Crime. Victim Engagement Officers will attempt to contact victims when the offender is coming close to their eligibility for release to discuss any concerns the victim may have about future contact with the offender. They then submit a report to the Board to consider when they are reviewing the offender. This report will make recommendations for protective conditions to be added to any order issued by the Board.
