Can an offender find out the reasons why the Board made their decision?
The reasons for the Board's decision are stated in the letter sent to the prisoner from the Board on the day of the decision.
A decision of the Board to make a PSSO will be published on the Board's website, including the reasons for the decision and the conditions of the PSSO, if the sentence imposed is for a period of 5 or more years. This type of decision is published on the website at a time past the prisoner’s sentence maximum date.
