What is the length of a PSSO?
A PSSO will be in place for a period of between six months and two years. The PSSO imposition date will begin on either:
- if the prisoner is not released on parole, the PSSO will begin the day on which the prisoner is released from custody (their sentence maximum date); or
- if the offender is on parole, the PSSO will begin the day after the Parole Order’s Expiry Date.
