Board Membership

The Board consists of a Chairperson, Deputy Chairpersons, Community Members and Department of Justice and Western Australia Police Representatives. The Board is supported by a team of administrative staff provided by the Department of Justice.

Periodic recruitment of Board members in accordance with the policies established within the State Government Boards and Committees - Premier's Circular 2022/02 ensures the Board continues to deliver a high standard of decision-making.

October 2023 Community Member Expression of Interest Process

Please be aware the 2023 Expression of Interest process for appointments as a Community Member for the Board closed on Friday 13 October 2023.

No late applications will be accepted.

Under section 103(4)(a) and (b) of the Sentence Administration Act 2003 (WA), Community Members appointed to the Board must make objective and reasonable assessments of risk. Community Members come from diverse backgrounds. They must also possess knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following:
